Consultations include:-

  • Education and advice on all aspects of the cardioprotective diet set out by NICE (2010) and how this can be integrated into the daily diet.
  • Advice on food choices and portion sizes to help improve BMI and reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications.
  • Education on the Eatwell plate and the role of each food group, an understanding on food labelling, meal planning, and recipes. These are all essential in helping patients implement a healthy diet.
